This solution translates an analog voltage into separate Step and Direction signals suitable for most motor drivers and controllers. The device operates in two modes which are both directly related to the analog voltage applied to the Vin pin. The speed at which the signals are output is dependent on the applied control voltage. The analog voltage reference sets the span of operation and can be tied either to Vss or an external precision reference voltage for normal operation.
